Cheque Printing Software

The Iranian Sayad cheque leaf is standardised at 170×85 mm, yet it is still filled in by hand — crossed-out words, a wrong amount in words, a mistyped date, and a cheque rejected over a correction.

This tool does exactly one job: it prints the cheque values in the right place on the real leaf. You build one template per bank by dragging the boxes over a scan of your own leaf, run a test print on plain paper, and from then on each cheque takes seconds.

It runs inside Sayda's cheque management system, so values come from the cheque you already recorded; the layout engine itself is database-independent, so it can also be built as a standalone Windows app on request.

Every field on the leaf

Jalali date (and date in words), amount in digits and words, payee, payee national ID and memo.

Automatic amount in words

The Persian amount-in-words text is generated from the numeric amount — where handwriting errors usually happen.

Per-bank templates

Drag the boxes over a scan of the real leaf and nudge them with arrow keys down to 0.1 mm.

Test print before you burn a leaf

An A4 test print with the leaf image and a scale ruler, so you verify alignment on plain paper first.

Printer calibration

Global X/Y offset, 0/90/180/270 rotation and automatic compensation for page shrinking — output stays 1:1.

Persian fonts per box

Vazirmatn, Estedad, Samim, Shabnam, Sahel, Amiri and Nastaliq — a base font per template, overridable per box, plus free static text.

Printed from the recorded cheque

Amount, due date and payee come from the cheque already in the system, which keeps its history and reminders.

Why this system is different

Measured off a real leaf

The default layout comes from a 300 dpi scan of an actual Sayad leaf, with the origin at the top-right corner.

Real comb cells

Each digit lands in its own printed cell at the bank's exact pitch — not approximate letter-spacing, which browsers ignore on Persian digits.

No special printer

Works with any ordinary laser or dot-matrix printer through the manual tray.

Database-independent print engine

Layout and printing depend only on a plain cheque object and a template, so the same engine can be built as a standalone app on request.

Frequently asked questions

Which banks are supported?

All of them — the leaf size is identical; per-bank millimetre differences are handled by building one template per bank.

Do I need a cheque printer?

No. Any printer that accepts a 170×85 mm sheet from the manual tray works.

Why does the print come out shrunk or offset?

Printers default to fitting the page to the printable area. The built-in scale ruler measures the real printed length and corrects the layout back to 1:1.

What if the print is misaligned?

That is what the plain-paper test print is for: overlay it on a real leaf, then correct with the X/Y offset.

How does it relate to your cheque management software?

Printing is built into that system and pulls values from the recorded cheque; if you only need printing, the same engine can be built as a standalone app.
